WATCH: Ireland AM presenters in stitches after rude slip of the tongue while recording

James Fenton

A fit of giggles is good for the soul and Ireland AM presenters Laura Woods and Alan Hughes had that in spades earlier today.

While recording a promo, Laura Woods and Alan Hughes appeared in jovial form as they signed off with a little tribute to What Is Love singer Haddaway. It was all going swimmingly until Alan had a bit of a faux pas and came out with the word “stiffy” while trying to say “sticky toffee pudding”.

Of course, all hell broke loose and the pair broke into howls of laughter along with everyone else in the Virgin Media studio. Laura shared the clip on her Instagram page earlier along with the caption: ‘light slip of the tongue by Alan Hughes during our promo recording earlier-but an amusing way to end the working week for these teenagers anyway (for the record there’s STICKY toffee cake on the menu in studio tomorrow!) Have a fun weekend all.’

Sure look, we’ve all been there. Have a look at Laura and Alan’s failed attempts to keep the Friday feeling at bay below…
