Anyone who has watched the Katie Taylor documentary on Netflix will know that the boxer possesses a dry wit that often goes unnoticed.
In the film, Katie throws out one-liners almost as often as punches, and yesterday she was at it again. When asked about her Sports Minister Shane Ross’ now infamous gatecrashing of her Dublin Airport homecoming this week, the undisputed champion turned around in a faux attempt at seeing if Ross was standing behind her.
The moment was captured on camera by The42’s Gavan Casey and brought much laughter from those in attendance…

A knockout blow. To be fair, Katie later said in an interview that while she’s been getting great craic out of the whole affair, she feels a bit bad for the minister…

‘Twas all in good fun. If the boxing ever goes downhill, there could be room on the stand-up stage for Ireland’s golden girl.
