WATCH: Kevin Kilbane sings ‘Grace’ as he proposes to Dancing On Ice partner Brianne Delcourt

It’s been a whirlwind few months for Kevin Kilbane and his Dancing On Ice partner Brianne Delcourt, who he can now refer to as his fiancée.

The former Ireland international and the professional skater were paired up by the ITV show back in October before being eliminated from the programme last weekend.

The couple began dating during their stint on the show and despite being knocked out, they’ve gotten their happy ending after becoming engaged last night.

Brianne has shared a couple of clips of the magic moment and in them, Kilbane heard singing acclaimed Irish ballad Grace which is a song about Grace Gifford marrying Joseph Plunkett in Kilmainham Gaol hours before he was executed for his part in the 1916 Easter Rising. An interesting choice, to say the least.

You can see Brianne’s reaction in the busy restaurant below and be sure to swipe across to see the conclusion of Kev’s well-planned romantic gesture…

Afterwards, the Canadian skater shared a snap of the pair showing off the ring, smushed lippy and all…

Here’s to many happy years for the newly-engaged couple. Kevin Kilbane is currently fourth on the list of Ireland’s most-capped players, having racked up 110 appearances between 1997 and 2011. The 43-year is now known for his punditry work with Off The Ball and Virgin Media here in Ireland as well as the BBC across the water. He is also a patron for the Down Syndrome Centre and, apparently, a decent singer too.

Congrats again to the happy couple.
