It's Manchester in the mid-1990s and Eric Cantona and Liam Gallagher are both doing their thing, the former in a red shirt and the latter largely in a blue.

Gallagher has hired the services of the enigmatic French forward-turned-actor to star in his promo for Once, a track which appears on the former Oasis man's Why Me? Why Not album and the results have been revealed this morning.

Twitter which was captioned: 'I’m absolutely thrilled to have Eric Cantona, the last Rock n roll footballer, star in my video for ‘Once’. Songs like this don’t come around very often and neither do football players like him LG x'
The unlikely double act can be seen below, with Gallagher making a cameo as a butler/chauffeur and it's well worth taking five minutes out of your day to watch...
