Liverpool fans will be nursing a few sore heads this morning and not just the ones who were outside Anfield last night.
According to reports, nine people were arrested outside the stadium as fans defied pleas to celebrate Liverpool’s long-awaited Premier League trophy presentation from home. Over here in Ireland though, a somewhat tamer affair took place on the streets of Killarney.
Yesterday evening, busy locals were briefly distracted by the sounds of car horns coming from a convoy of cars decked out in Liverpool flags. The scene was captured by Adam Moynihan of the Killarney Advertiser and you can see what all the fuss was about below…

Celebrations 30 years in the making so you could hardly blame them. In fact, the participants were so excited to see Jurgen Klopp’s men lift the trophy that they went around a second time…

Unsurprisingly, there doesn’t seem to be many Manchester United fans present but with a top four place up for grabs on Sunday, they could be dancing on the streets of Killarney yet. Remember, if you are out and about celebrating over the coming days, stay safe and maintain appropriate social distancing according to Government guidelines, which you can read more about here.
No harm in walking alone every now and then, especially at times like these.
