The new Rolling Stones video starring Paul Mescal is finally here and he’s proved that it’s more than just sing and act he can do.

Earlier last week it was revealed that legendary rockers The Rolling Stones had recruited man of the moment Paul Mescal to star in their upcoming music video. Releasing a deluxe reissue of their 1973 album Goats Head Soup, the band enlisted the help of the Normal People star in an effort to bring a fresh, new twist to their image.

Teaming up with the group on the video for their track Scarlet, Paul takes centre stage as a “hunky party boy”. Showing Mescal drunk, dancing in an empty hotel room, it’s not dissimilar to something you’d see come 3am at an Irish wedding. Admit it, you’ve all been there…

Reacting to what is probably a real ‘pinch-me’ moment for the Kildare man, Mescal retweeted the video, writing: “Mum this is all a bit mad”.

His first time starring in a music video, the clip begins with Mescal looking straight to camera and saying:

“Hey, Scarlet. I’m a little bit drunk. I’m very sorry. I love you. Eh… so I’m just gonna play a song.”

Cue the music and some of Mescal’s signature dance moves.

Give it a watch below.
