WATCH: Shaun of the Dead stars reunite to share important Covid-19 messages

James Fenton

Shaun of the Dead stars Simon Pegg and Nick Frost have reprised their roles from the hit 2004 movie to share an important message about staying at home during the Covid-19 outbreak.

Pegg and Frost starred as Shaun and Ed respectively in 2004 zombie comedy Shaun Of The Dead and with people currently being urged to stay in their homes to prevent infection, there are some eerie similarities to the film.

In a short video shared on the pair’s social channels, Pegg and Frost make a number of references to the movie, including calling mum, seeing how Philip is doing and, most importantly, NOT going round to Liz’s. As well not going to The Winchester, or any pub for that matter, the best advice is of course to “stay at home, have a cup of tea and wait for all this to blow over.”

At the heart of it all is an important message about keeping your distance during these unprecedented times and you can check out the clip in full below…

“Above all, don’t be a twat about things. We’re all in this together. Don’t be selfish. Look after each other. Give someone a call if you think they might be lonely.”

Words we can all live by at the moment. 16 years after Shaun of the Dead, who’d have thought the recently-dumped title character and his layabout pal would be offering tips on how to handle a crisis for real?
