With both their album and tour delayed, Danny O’Reilly of The Coronas has been keeping busy in self-isolation by covering songs from some of the band’s favourite Irish acts.
Instead of self-promoting, The Coronas frontman, Danny O’Reilly, has been promoting other Irish acts covering songs by the likes of Gavin James, The Academic, Sorcha Richardson and Luke Kelly.
In a video posted to their Instagram page, Danny can be heard saying:
“Hey guys, it’s my birthday. I’m isolating in Dingle, Co. Kerry. It’s a beautiful place to be in this weird time. We’ve been pretty quiet on social media…it’s so strange, I don’t really know what to do or how to address the situation.”
Adding that the band has had to postpone all of their UK and US tours, Danny is hopeful that they can reschedule for later in the year.
With things put on hold for the time being, fans had resigned themselves to the fact that they’d have to wait a little longer for new music from the band. However, they were pleasantly surprised on Sunday night when Knoxy stuck on the test pressing of the new album “as a little treat”.

Breaking out the record player, Knoxy played the band’s new tune LA at Night. Reactions to the song were overwhelmingly positive, with one describing it as “another classic”. One of the tracks off their soon-to-be-released album, True Love Waits, fans dubbed it a fitting title given the circumstances.
We don’t know about you but we’re excited to hear the rest of the album.
