WATCH: The video for Ireland’s 2021 Eurovision entry is here

James Fenton

A year after Lesley Roy was unveiled as Ireland’s next big Eurovision hope, the singer is back again to put right the disappointment of 2020.

The 2020 Eurovision Song Contest was cancelled due to the coronavirus outbreak, leaving Lesley Roy facing the prospect of missing out on representing her country on the continent’s biggest stage. However, she’s back this year with a new song Maps and an accompanying video that was filmed in the Wicklow Mountains.

Just like the Story of My Life, the song that the Dubliner was supposed to perform last year, Lesley wrote and produced Maps and you’ll be able to watch her perform it for the first time on tonight’s Late Late Show.

In the meantime, here’s the video for your viewing and listening pleasure…

The 2021 Eurovision takes place in Rotterdam this coming May.
