Hear ye, hear ye.
We have found yet another use for the 12 years you spent learning the ins and outs of the Tuiseal Ginideach. Irish cursing.
New TG4 archive series ‘Ar an Aer’ on TG4 tomorrow night, 8pm Wednesday, January 11, includes this hilarious clip of legendary broadcaster Gay Byrne being taught how to curse by ‘An Cailín Gaelach’ 1979 Máire Treasa Ní Chéide at the Rose of Tralee competition.
Sounds cúl, tell me more
Gladly. Thanks to this clip from TG4’s latest series ‘Ar an Aer’, Irish cursing is as easy to learn as aon, dó, trí.

Easy peasy, right?
For those of you in the back, that was A bhastard and A bhitseach.
Use them wisely.
The new series also revisits stories of emigration, developments in technology and standards of living, spirituality, inspiration, activism, farming and fishing as well as aspects of the social lives and life events of the Irish language communities. And of course, cursing.
Sounds like an interesting watch.
