On your marks, get set, baaaaaake. Oh, how I’ve missed hearing those words but good news as the Great British Bake Off is due to return very soon.
Yes, we finally have an air date for the Great British Bake Off and thankfully, there’s not long left to wait as Channel 4 has confirmed that it will premiere on TV screens across Ireland and the UK in just under two weeks.
Encouraging the public to ‘put a little love in your tart’ (strange request, but ok), show bosses announced the good news on Twitter.

Sharing a photo of the team, this season will see Little Britain’s Matt Lucas join the lineup – sharing hosting duties with series regular Noel Fielding. Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith will also return as judges… though it will be interesting to see what will replace the famous Paul Hollywood Handshake. Another age-old tradition bites the dust to Covid/social distancing.
