1. Khan Spices

Khan Spices sits proudly in the TripAdvisor hall of fame for maintaining between 4-and-a-half and 5 stars since 2011.

Its food is thought by some to be the best Indian in Ireland, with enough flawless reviews to shake a poppadom at. It’s located on Emmet Street in Trim, County Meath and has the most glowing of reputations.

Walking away with Best Customer Service in the Irish Restaurants’ Awards is no mean feat, but the Headfort Arms Hotel Restaurant Vanilla Pod did just that.

They also boast a whole menu of delectable cocktails, wines and beers, with something to suit absolutely everybody.

3. The Donkey Shed Restaurant

Situated smack bang in the middle of Newbarn Farm, The Donkey Shed Restaurant is exactly what it says on the tin. It’s an eatery, located in an old, renovated donkey shed. It’s open all day, but it’s really breakfast where it truly shines.

The menu is made up of the finest, freshest organic ingredients, meaning your traditional French toast is made with eggs collected that same morning.

4. Brabazon

Brabazon Restaurant, situated in the most exquisite Georgian building, Tankardstown House, is elegantly furnished with washed oak dining tables, shipped in from France no less, windowsills decorated with clusters of pine cones on hay, and French doors leading out to the manicured garden.

They have several different menus (including a full vegetarian, and fully comprehensive gin menu), with different prices ranging throughout.

5. The Conyngham Arms

Conyngham Arms Hotel is a beautifully restored inn from the 18th century, which houses The Conyngham Arms, the ‘baby sister’ of the aforementioned Tankardstown House. As such, it is also meticulously kitted out in the most tasteful of French décor.

They do an Afternoon Tea fit for a king, with the chance to win one for free every so often on their Facebook page.

6. The Signal Restaurant

Converted from a former railway station in the 1980s, The Signal Restaurant quickly built up a stellar reputation for good food and hospitality.

The restaurant itself is multi-award winning, using only the freshest of local ingredients and boasting some of the finest views of the royal county. This combined with an impressive wine list means that it quite impressively ticks every box.
