9 spots for a feed near the Wicklow seaside

Katy Thornton

wicklow seaside feed

Anyone for a dip and a whopper feed this long weekend?

Although the weather has been more than a bit all over the place, a refreshing trip to the beach is always a fun weekend activity. Whether you’re bringing the family, or travelling to the Wicklow seaside with a couple of friends, you’ll need a good feed when you get there. Here’s a list of nine places in and around Wicklow that do some unreal food to keep you going.

Burrito Box

Location: Greystones

Burrito Box is a little bit of heaven for Mexican food enthusiasts; their motto is “peace, love and burritos“. Catch them at The Boatyard in Greystones this weekend between 1pm and 9pm.

Fika

Location: Bray

If you prefer a view of the seaside rather than actually taking a dip, head to Fika Rooftop Bar for a feed. They’re open over the whole Easter weekend and are one of the most vibey spots in Wicklow.

The Grey Dog Café

Location: Leitrim Place

Located in Wicklow town, this café sells the most divine ice-cream. They are perfect to take with you to the seafront and soak up the sun (subject to said sun making an appearance of course). If you’re looking for a more substantial feed, they also sell amazing pizzas and tacos. The Grey Dog Café opens 9am to 10pm everyday.

The Fat Fox

Location: Greystones

If you’ve read any of my work on Lovin Dublin, you’ll be aware of my almond croissant obsession. I’m bringing that energy to Lovin now, as The Fat Fox is a top notch spot for an almond croissant in Wicklow, and it’s not too far from the Greystones beach if you’re looking to go for a dip, or just a stroll.

Platform Pizza

Location: Bray

This decadent pizza parlour does some amazing Italian dishes. Located beside the Bray Dart Station, it’s bound to fill you up after a long day of bank holiday weekend activities. Platform Pizza also do an amazing selection of dips for your pizza, and absolute must when you’re having it in my opinion.

Box Burger

Location: Bray

Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, Box Burger does some of the most incredible burgers around. Located on the Strand Road in Bray, these award-winning burgers will take that hangry edge off in no time.

Bear Paw Deli

Multiple Locations

The Bear Paw Deli has three locations: Delgany, Enniskerry, and Greystones. They do super high quality takeaway food and pastries, as well as coffee. I mean, just look at these buttercream biscuits with lime sugar – to die for! Check out all their opening hours HERE.

Firehouse Bakery

Multiple Locations

I mean, look at the height of those sandwiches. Firehouse Bakery really knows its stuff, making stunning baked goods and sandwiches. This bakery has two locations, one in Delgany and one in Wicklow town. You can check out their individual opening hours HERE.

Las Tapas

Location: Greystones

And for some nibbles and sharing plates, Las Tapas on Church Road in Greystones is ideal for this. Their menu is extensive and they are vegetarian friendly.

There’s just so many to choose from! Where in Wicklow will you enjoy your post seaside feed?
