Bangin new food business is set to open for Galway City workers

Katy Thornton

Good news for Galway city workers, lunchtime just got a whole lot better!

Bangin Food Group is a brand new business with Galway city workers as their primary focus. This food group will open Monday through to Friday during lunchtime hours only, 12pm to 2pm, serving up some delicious and healthy Vietnamese street food. Bangin Food Group is a lunch delivery service, which launched at the end of April. There will also be the option of collection from their St. Augustine Street shop.

You can check out the menu below but it looks, as the name behind the company would suggest, bangin. They do the ever trendy bahn mi, with the choice of pork belly, fried chicken or halloumi as filling. Bangin Food Group also serves summer rolls, soups, and salads if you want something a little bit lighter. And of course, some refreshing drinks to wash it all down with.

Evan O’Ceallaigh, manager of Bangin Food Group, says this of their ambitious new venture:

We wanted to bring something more than the usual sandwich offering and something a bit new to Galway so we went with a Vietnamese inspired menu which consists of Bahn Mi sandwiches, fragrant crunchy salads, spicy soup that changes daily, fresh Vietnamese spring rolls and a small selection of fresh juices and smoothies also. Using the finest of ingredients we can source locally and cooking everything from scratch in our commercial kitchen in the city.

O’Ceallaigh also hopes that Bangin Food Group will provide an affordable lunch option “in these times of inflation and high food costs“.

If you’re a Galway city worker, check them next time you’re in need of a spot of lunch. You can order through their website HERE.
