The spicebag toastie is no more.

The Hot Box announced some very sad news over the weekend. Best known for their innovative toastie combos, such as the Jalapeno Popper and of course the Spice Bag, The Hot Box in Bray has sadly closed due to their lease being up.

They took to Instagram to share the news with their followers:

A big thanks to all of our lovely customers!
With our lease coming to an end it is now time to say goodbye to the Hot Box.
It’s been an unbelievable year and we really appreciate you all. The last of our stock was donated to the Five Loaves in Bray ?.
Thank you again and we hope to see you all soon.”

While it’s goodbye for now, we feel a little bit of hope that this isn’t the last we’ll see of The Hot Box; the spice bag toastie cannot be kept down for too long after all. In the meantime we’ll be drooling while we scroll through their Instagram feed, remembering the good times.

The Hot Box first opened in April 2021. We would love to see them make a reappearance in Bray, or elsewhere, in the not too distant future.
