Chocolate orange mayonnaise is a thing, and you can buy it in Ireland

Fiona Frawley

No, you didn’t read that wrong.

We’ve all hopped on the orange chocolate bandwagon of late. I’ve only loved being able to enjoy a KitKat or packet of Buttons with a citrusy twist. Every time I saw a new orange chocolate product on the weekly shop, I smile as if it’s my own personal victory. My most beloved flavour combo has made its way into the mainstream.

But even I could never have possibly foreseen this pairing.

Today, Heinz and Terry’s Chocolate Orange have launched a “very festive” mash up – Heinz [Seriously] Good Terry’s Chocolate Orange Mayo.

As you’d imagine, the memes have started already:

To create this deliciously rich concoction, Heinz has been blended with melted velvety Terry’s Chocolate Orange segments, Crème Patissière and an extra dose of Terry’s Chocolate Orange’s signature real orange oil for good measure.

The result is “a smooth and delicious spread that works perfectly dolloped onto your festive desserts or spread onto brioche, scones, pancakes, or croissants this festive season“.  Or straight out of the jar if the impulse takes you. It is Christmas, after all.

If you or the orange chocolate lover in your life simply need a jar of this for the festive period, you’ll need to move fast – there are only 75 jars of this limited-edition creation available.

Would you try it?
