Katy Thornton

Murphy’s ice-cream are going global.

Opening in 2000, Murphy’s Ice-Cream has exploded in popularity in the 23 years it’s been in operation.

They have locations in Dublin, Killarney, Galway, Kildare, as well as their two Dingle spots, and their products are also sold in the likes of Fallon & Byrne, Supervalu, Donnybrook Fair, Avoca, and many others.

Now they are launching a new ice-cream spot, and this time it’s not even in Ireland. Murphy’s took to Instagram to announce the opening of their new store in Dalian, China.

Murphy’s are going global, opening their first international store in the Pavilion Shopping Mall in Dalian – they have yet to announce an opening date, but they say it is coming very soon.

Tons of customers and fans of the brand left comments on where they wanted them to come next.

Tourists who tried Murphy’s on their Irish travels left comments, with many hoping they would come to the United States (Dallas, Wisconsin, and Florida all got specific shout-outs).

Some Irish people were gutted they weren’t opening nearer to them, with many asking for one to be opened in Northern Ireland, and others asking for a Murphy’s in Waterford.
