Just in time for the Chinese New Year.

There’s a brand new Chinese cuisine spot in the heart of Galway you might want to look into. Rè Nao brings delicious dishes and flavours inspired by Xi’an food and culture, using locally sourced Irish produce. Their website describes the cuisine as such:

“At RÈ NAO, we have designed a menu that explores the tastes and textures of Xi’an, one of the oldest and thriving culinary cities in China. From family recipes handed down for generations, to classic dishes and handcrafted cooking methods perfected over time, RÈ NAO is an ode to all flavors of Xi’an.”

They launched on Monday the 31st January, just in time to celebrate the Chinese New Year.

Rè Nao is located in Galway’s famous Spanish Arch, occupying the space where Lime once stood. Lime shut its doors back in October 2021 when it was taken over by the Hitianland Group, a well established restaurant group.

Their dinner menu is expansive and inclusive, featuring vegan and meat dishes. Amongst their main courses is Strawberry Chicken, Dragon’s Nest Beef, and Sizzling Duck (which also comes as a vegan option). Rè Nao also has a wide selection of desserts.

Rè Nao opens from 12-11pm, seven days a week. You can dine in, or order for takeaway.
