Sad news for plant-based Sligo locals.

Sweet Beat in Sligo has made the sad decision to close their Bridge Street café. The plant-based spot has been open there for eight years, but in a lengthy Instagram announcement explained that they had decided not to renew their lease.

Sweet Beat took the time to thank anyone who had supported them over the last eight years. They made particular shout-outs to their suppliers, as well as their employees “who worked tirelessly through the 2 years of the pandemic, working around the clock to keep the business afloat.”

Sweet Beat will close for good on the 31st October, so there’s just under 2 weeks to catch them. In their announcement they ask that customers;

Please support us over the next few weeks as we begin to wind down and say goodbye to our lovely corner on Bridge Street.

Some good news? This isn’t the complete end for Sweet Beat café in Sligo. They will reopen their Strandhill spot in February 2023, just in time for spring.
