There’s a new cafe in Cork City serving 3fe coffee and delish treats

Fiona Frawley

A place in the hurling final and a cute new cafe in the city? Now that’s a turn out for the books.

If you’ve been on the hunt for a new place to get your caffeine fix in the real capital, get yourself down to Man Friday Deli. The little sister to the popular Man Friday Restaurant in Kinsale, this cute little spot on South Mall opened last month and with tasty lunch and treat options and the all-important 3fe coffee, is definitely worth a visit.

These gorge pastries come from Cork-based artisan bakery Arbutus Bread (you may have been lucky enough to sample some of their dreamy baked goods at various markets around Cork over the years) and are the ideal accompaniment to your morning flattie.

If you’re in the mood for something more savoury, Man Friday Deli have a tasty selection of wraps and sambos, as well as warming soups such as this Ribollita Tuscan bread creation:

Honestly, is there anything more comforting than a soup and sambo combo as the colder days creep in? Makes the Irish winter worthwhile, imo.

Man Friday also have plenty of healthy breakfast options if you’re that way inclined, including parfaits with home roasted granola, filling protein balls and choc-coconut pots (not sure if those are actually healthy, but anything that’s not a pastry for breakie is as good as paleo in my eyes so I’m including them).

Hit them up on South Mall, every day from 8:30am.
