Rory Cashin

If you’re a fan of seafood, then these restaurants will be must-visits.

The Luxury Restaurant Awards have announced their nominations in all categories (you can check them all out and vote for them right here), and great news for all fans of seafood, because Ireland is home to two of the finalists in that category. Yep, we’ve got two of the best luxury seafood restaurants in the entire world.

First up is Aqua Restaurant, which you can find on the West Pier in Howth. They’ve been nominated for not one but two of the Luxury Restaurant Awards, for Best Luxury Seafood Restaurant and Best Luxury Waterside Restaurant.

As mentioned in their nomination on the awards website, “The Aqua dining room has floor to ceiling windows offering a majestic view over the water to Ireland’s Eye a stunning uninhabited island or over the bustling fishing harbour. Always included on the Aqua menu is the finest fish from the daily local catch.

“Howth lobster is a favourite speciality or Irish reared beef or lamb served with seasonal vegetables or salads from the Aqua kitchen garden. A truly memorable dining experience awaits with the combination of seriously good food, in a room with a view.”

The second Irish restaurant up for the Luxury Seafood Restaurant award is SOLE Seafood & Grill, which is located on William Street in Dublin 2.

As per their nomination page, “SOLE Seafood & Grill encapsulates the true taste of Ireland, offering the ultimate dining experience for any occasion. A restaurant like no other; the warm chic interior is complemented by a stylish bar and tasteful food and drinks menus.”
