Popular Kilkenny spot Paris Texas was named National Pub Of The Year at the Irish Pub Awards 2019 last night.

The High Street venue has long been a hit with locals and visitors alike and the team were rewarded at a glitzy ceremony at Dublin’s RDS. Paris Texas takes over from 2018 winner The Glyde Inn in Annagassan, Co. Louth.

Paris Texas is located just a stone’s throw from famous Kilkenny landmarks such as Kilkenny Castle and the Smithwick’s Experience. It’s known for possessing a great mix of fine food, live entertainment and a cosy vibe to just kick back and watch a match over a pint or a cocktail.  The food menu features everything from racks of ribs to juicy burgers, pasta and everything in between. More on that can be found here.

Other winners on the night include The Rusty Mackerel in Donegal for Best Newcomer, Café En Seine in Dublin for Best Late Night Bar and The Courtyard in Cork for Best Outdoor Space Of The Year.

Well done to Paris Texas and all the other winners on the night. You can find out more about who took home prizes via this link.
