MacCurtain Street is the place to be for all things vino.

MacCurtain Wine Cellar opened in mid April around the same time that Nell’s Wine Bar did, making it a top location for those who love their wine in Cork. Nell’s Wine Bar locally sources their ingredients and focuses on natural wine (wine produced through traditional or simple methods).

Their Facebook page says this: “we specialise in natural, organic and biodynamic wine as well as small plates in the expression of Corks local seasonality.”

For nibbles you can get olives or almonds, or if you’re in the mood for something more substantial there’s focaccia, beef cheek, hake fritters, and more, all for under €10.

You can make a booking at Nell’s wine bar HERE. While they close on Mondays, Nell’s opens from 4:30pm Tuesday through to Sunday. Latest booking time is 9pm for most of the week, except Sundays when it’s 8pm.

So if you’re a Cork local, or paying a visit for a weekend, make sure you pop down to MacCurtain Street for Nell’s wine bar.
