Creme Egg

Ready for your fun fact of the day? If all the Creme Eggs made in a year were laid from end to end, they would stretch from Bournville to Sydney, Australia. Crazy, no?!

The reappearance of the Cadbury Creme Egg in shops is the only true sign that time is passing. Up there as one of the nation’s absolute favourite chocolatey treats, they’ll be celebrating a very special occasion later this year.

Lockdown birthdays aren’t exactly what one might call fun but marking the day is still a necessary part of getting older and this year Cadbury’s Creme Eggs will be celebrating a very important milestone… their 50th birthday.

Back on shelves for a limited time, it’s all to add to the egg-citement of the big day. And in even better news, fans of the ooey gooey treat could be in with the chance of winning up to €5,000. How?! Alls you gots to do is find the egg-sclusive Golden Creme Egg.

Hidden in stores across Ireland, the limited-edition goodies will be masquerading as the much-loved classic Cadbury Creme Egg. Given somewhat of a ‘golden glow up’ if you will, you’ll be able to tell which one is which as the Golden version has a chocolate shell covered in edible gold dust… obvs.

The nation’s favourite Easter brand for almost five decades now, the proof is definitely in the (chocolate) pudding… one Cadbury Cadbury Creme Egg is sold every 4 seconds!

It might be their birthday but the presents are for you, the fans, though. Here’s how you can win:

  • Step 1: Unwrap a Creme Egg to see if you have a golden egg.
  • Step 2: Call the number on the voucher inside the foil
  • Step 3: Follow the phone guidance and keep both the packaging and voucher to claim your prize

The in-store promotion runs until April 4th and you can find out more details here. Goo-d luck (*insert winky face emoji here*).
