Learning that you can get your groceries delivered via Deliveroo was a complete gamechanger for me.
Living in Dublin without a car isn’t usually much of an issue… until you need to do the big shop that is, then having one would be very handy. But, gone are the days when you’ll see me hobbling home with 12 carrier bags of groceries though, as Deliveroo has stepped in to save the day.
Teaming up with Aldi for the service, it works just as ordering your favourite takeaway does. Simply log on to the Deliveroo website, search for Aldi and then browse the list of available goods – filling your virtual shopping cart as you go.
Free delivery is just the cherry on top.
Wanting to do their part to help people stay at home, the powers that be have done us all a solid and decided to waive the €4.99 delivery fee for the next four weeks.
Over 400 Aldi products can be ordered through the on-demand delivery service with groceries being delivered in as little as 30 minutes. Just enough time to have the kettle boiled and the tea made, ready for the biccies to arrive.
Available to customers within a 5km radius of 19 different stores across Dublin, Cork, Galway and Limerick. Delivery is contactless and orders are paid for ahead of time via the Deliveroo website or app.
