Aldi’s Gorge Premium Irish Gin Has Just Won Two International Awards

Alana Laverty

Alid’s very own Boyle’s Gin has won two awards at the International Wine and Spirits Competition in London.

The small batch gin is made by Blackwater Distillery in Waterford (whom we absolutely adore).

The gorge gin was awarded two silver medals – one in the Gin (London Dry – 40%) only competition, and one in the Gin & Tonic Competition.

Spirits in the competition were judged by type, age and strength.

“The International Wine & Spirits Competition recognizes and pays tribute to the very finest products, so we are delighted to see our very own Boyle’s Gin win two very deserved awards. It has been said that Ireland is experiencing somewhat of a Gin Revolution at the moment, and we’re very proud to be amongst those leading the way, with a top-quality gin at a very affordable price.”

Finbar McCarthy, Group Buying Director at Aldi Ireland

Named after Robert Boyle of Lismore Castle, Boyle’s Gin can be purchased from Aldi only, for just €24.99.

Now that’s a bargain.
