The Irish Craft Cocktail Awards (ICCA) took place on Sunday night in Dublin at Number Twenty Two to celebrate the drinks industry across Ireland.
While there was a large number of award winners in different categories for the titles such as Best Cocktail Menu, Best Bartender and Best Bar Team, the big award on the night for Best Overall Cocktail Bar went to a hot spot in Cork.
Cask on MacCurtain Street in Montenotte, Cork took home the crown for Best Overall Cocktail Bar in Ireland.
The bar is relatively new to the scene and has only been open since February of this year but scored a huge number of awards at the ICCA including; Best Overall Cocktail Bar, Outstanding Cocktail Menu, Best Bar Team, Best New Cocktail Bar and Best Bar Munster.
Cask is situated in a former antique shop in the Cork Victorian quarter and with its stone walls, coloured tiles and a courtyard outside, it’s a real treat to have a drink in.

The bar is consistently innovative and they produce a seasonal cocktail menu with changes every 8 weeks – so each time you visit there is bound to be something new for you to sip on.
Other category winners on the night included Candlelight Bar in Dundrum, Dublin being crowned as the Best Cocktail Bar Leinster. Elsewhere the Industry Legend of 2017 was awarded to Paul Lambert who has over 20 years of experience in the mixology industry.
