It’s gonna be a good‘un.

Galway’s Fever Pitch Music Festival is set to return next June for another year of fun, complete with a new big top tent large enough to accommodate everyone.

Homegrown and run by a local team, the two-day event is packed full of music, food, comedy and craic.

Previous acts to perform at the festival include the likes of The Waterboys, Aslan, the Hothouse Flowers, Gavin James, Hudson Taylor and Scouting For Girls.

Weather complications on day two of last year’s event saw many of the cancelled, however, organisers have said that they have “learned from this year and Fever Pitch 2020 will be ready”.

Announcing the first of the performers for the 2020 festival this morning, UK indie rock band The Kooks have been named for a headline slot.

Famed for hits such as Naïve, She Moves in Her Own Way and Seaside, they’ll take to the stage on the first day of the festival.

Taking place at Galway Airport, the Fever Pitch Music Festival will run on Friday 26th and Saturday 27th June. Early-bird tickets priced at €49.90 go on sale this Friday, December 6th at 9am.
