1520 in the heart of Galway’s Latin Quarter has come up with an idea so ingenious that you’ll wish you thought of it first.
Teaming up with the boffins in Booniverse, together they’ve created the ‘buy a pal a pint’ feature in the Galway App.

To be honest, I’m surprised such a thing didn’t exist already so fair deuce lads.
How does it work? Just do what it says on the tin…download the app and buy your pint-loving pal a drink.
You don’t even have to be there to do it.
You could be on your hols in Singapore, at the gym or even tucked up in bed (the most likely scenario). Nothing says “I’m sorry I bailed on plans last minute” quite like a free round.
The only info you need is your friend’s name (worrying if you don’t even know that much) and their email address. They’re then sent a code that the bar staff at 1520 can scan next time they head up for a drink.
