Today is National Hugging Day and to celebrate Toy Show star Adam King has organised for his virtual hug sign to light up locations across Ireland tonight.
Today is National Hugging Day and while giving your loved ones a tight squeeze may not be an option this year, Toy Show star Adam King is still encouraging people to spread love however they can.
Teasing that he had something very special up his sleeve for the occasion, a short video shared to social media hears the youngster say:
“Hello everyone. Tomorrow is National Hugging Day and because we can’t hug each other this year I’m sending you all a virtual hug. So, keep an eye out because you might see my virtual hug near you.”
Leaving us in suspense until this morning, Adam has finally revealed what exactly he has planned – announcing that his famous virtual hug sign will light up many different locations across the country this evening. Hoping to bring a smile to people’s faces, the six-year-old is encouraging everyone to send a virtual hug to someone they care about today.

Adam’s virtual hug sign will be light up well-known buildings/monuments in Dublin, Cork and Waterford city centres later this evening.
COVID vaccines aside, there are few things the world needs more than #AdamsVirtualHugs. Our thanks to the young man & his family for continuing to remind us of the value of simple kindnesses. https://t.co/MyAOTengwT
