Toy Show star Adam King will get his own postmark this Christmas.

The nation (and wider world) fell in love with Cork youngster Adam King following his appearance on this year’s Late Late Toy Show and he’s all we’ve been able to talk about since.

Moving viewers with his upbeat spirit and positivity, his reaction to being reunited with his favourite Temple Street hospital porter John sent us to sob city and don’t even get us started on his virtual hug sign… speaking of which, is about to go global.

As taken with the six-year-old as the rest of us, An Post has confirmed that Adam’s beautiful artwork will be made into a postmark just in time for Christmas this year. Making the announcement on last night’s Late Late Show, Ryan Tubridy said that he had to give viewers an update on “the Late Late Toy Show phenomenon that is Adam King and his virtual hug”.

“We got a call from An Post during the week and they wanted to help Adam share his virtual hug across the world. So, they have transformed it into a special Christmas postmark.”

Sharing a look at the mocked-up version of the virtual hug sign postmark, Ryan said that it will be applied to “millions” of Christmas cards this year with households all across the world set to receive Adam’s special message of love.

Thanking Adam for “making the world a lot brighter this Christmas”, I think it’s fair to say that Ryan speaks on behalf of the entire country.
