This Is By Far The Most Picturesque Pub In Ireland

Éadaoin Fitzmaurice

I say it time and time again but the west of Ireland is an absolute gem.

There’s so much to explore and every sight gets more beaut than the last.

One of my favourite places in the whole world is Dingle. My dad is from north Kerry so that was all I knew of The Kingdom up until a few years ago when I decided to venture out a little bit further.

As much as I love Listowel for nostalgic reasons, Dingle really is something special. It still has that quaint cultural vibe to it, a lot of the locals around the area speak Irish and the pubs are literally the best craic ever.

Last Paddy’s weekend, I headed down with a group and we did a little tour around the area during the day before hitting the pubs at night. One day we ventured out to the lovely seaside of Brandon.

Tucked away in between the valleys and sea is a teeny tiny pub by a pier that is the most darling place for a pint in Ireland.

Say hello to Murphy’s Bar!

Brandon is one of the cutest places in Ireland.

Just a few miles out from Dingle, it boasts incredible hillside and coastal views. It’s real Ireland, where we came from and what we’re known for.

Murphy’s is everything you could ever want from an Irish pub. Inside it has cosy nooks to cuddle up in and nurse a pint, a peat-fuelled fireplace, quirky bits hanging on the walls and picnic benches outside for sunny days.

It’s super tranquil and acts as the perfect retreat to sit back and watch the world go by for the day as you sip away. You can also walk down along the pier which is so fab and maybe even go for a dip if you’re brave! (and sober, of course!)

I’ve honestly never been to a more stunning pub, it’s one of Ireland’s best-kept secrets.
