Wondering where to catch the man of the hour this weekend?

Who can forget last summer when Harry Styles arrived in Dublin to play at the Aviva Stadium, and was spotted going for a dip at the Vico Baths in Killiney, with a humble carrier bag (full of cans) in tow. It was truly a top tier moment in 2022.

Now he’s back for a famously sold-out gig at Slane Castle, taking place on June 10th, and Fáilte Ireland have rounded up a few swimming spots he may venture out to while he’s on Irish soil. That is, if he doesn’t make the journey back to Vico for round two.

Brittas Bay South Beach, Co. Wicklow

County Wicklow is overflowing with natural beauty, but one of its highlights has to be the breath-taking Brittas Bay South Beach. Many of us have spent childhood days running through the dunes there, making it a top contender for Harry if he fancies a dip.

With 5km of powdery white sand that could be mistaken for somewhere more tropical, the beach has won and maintained its Blue Flag status for many years and is popular with visitors from near and far.

Just a 90 minute journey from Slane, it’s not beyond the realm of possibility we’d spot the former One Direction star here.

Carlingford Lough, Louth

As the adventure capital of Louth, Carlingford is known for its amazing outdoor pursuits and locals love swimming in Carlingford Lough. Only a 54 minute drive from Slane Castle, the host of amenities near the lough could be enough to entice Harry down for a swim.

At the lake, visitors can take in epic views of Carlingford Castle and Slieve Foye before heading to Sweet Sundaes for a locally made sundae or delicious crepes. Who knows, maybe Harry would be interested in doing some zip-lining too.

Bettystown Beach, Co. Meath

And the closest swimming spot to Slane Castle, Bettystown, is our top contender for where Harry could go for a post-gig dip on Sunday morning. Nothing clears the mind like a dunk in the Irish Sea, and after what’s bound to be an incredible performance on Saturday evening, it may just be the place to Harry goes to unwind.

The vast open stretch of golden beach at Bettystown in Meath is a wonderful place to visit, especially if swimming is a new hobby. The water here gradually gets deeper, and swimmers can wade in until they find the depth that suits them.

If we were to put money on it, Bettystown Beach is the swimming spot we think Harry Styles will be heading to.
