Ahoy there Cork locals, there’s a new boat festival coming to the harbour

Who needs to go to Maga?

Okay, from the looks of things this harbour cruise looks to be much classier than the booze cruises of our sixth year holiday (but just as much fun). Whether you’re staycationing or live local, why not check out this Boat Festival that sets sail from Custom House Quay in Cork?

Run by festival company It Takes A Village, there’s a total of six cruises throughout the summer, running between the 22nd July to the 10th September. You can expect performances from the likes of Gay Future, Shane Johnson, John Spillane, Yenkee, Sunday Times and Donal Dineen.

Each cruise lasts 2.5 hours and is strictly over 18s. Ticket prices vary depending on which cruise you embark on, but they start at €25. The first three cruises leave the harbour at 6:30pm and the final three leave at 5:30pm. The first of these cruises is even a fancy dress party; something for those always looking for an excuse to dress up.

You can purchase your cruise tickets through this link HERE.

If the weather we’re currently having lasts, a boat festival in Cork sounds like an ideal way to spend an evening.
