It’s going to be wall to wall Barbies out there.
Retailer Pour Moi has pulled together the stats of the most sought after Halloween costumes for 2023 by comparing it to how many searches the same outfit got in 2022.
It comes as no surprise I’m sure that Barbie is on the top of people’s wish-lists. Just as Margot Robbie’s portrayal of Harley Quinn captured everyone’s attention in 2016 (and later in 2021 when the second Suicide Squad film that pretended the first didn’t exist came out) her performance as stereotypical Barbie struck a chord with many of us (as did Ryan Gosling’s portrayal of himbo Ken).
In fact, Barbie makes the list several times in different outfits and forms, which more or less spells out there’s going to be every kind of Barbie out there on October 31st.
Iconic moments and people from 2023 will also play a prominent role in this year’s most popular costumes. Beyonce’s Renaissance tour has been one of the most documented musical events of the year, with ‘Beyonce’s Renaissance costume’ the 11th top trending Halloween outfit as searches see a 300% increase.

Either way, you have a pretty good idea of who or what to expect to be roaming the streets come month’s end.
