VIDEO: This Mobile Motorised 50cc Bar Stool Is The Ideal Paddy’s Day Accessory

Forever finding it impossible to bag yourself a coveted high stool at the bar? Well you’re going to have next to nothing of a chance this weekend. 

Even if you do manage to call ‘dibs’ on a seat, you just know that the minute you get up, it’s going to be gone in a flash like the last pint you drank. 

But what if you brought your own high stool with you? We honestly don’t know how this 30-year-old motorised bar stool didn’t catch on in a big way. 

As shown in the RTÉ Archives from 1988, the stool has a 50cc engine and you just know that everyone will make way when they hear that beauty coming through at the bar.

It was an Offaly man’s invention and in the different times that Irish people lived in back in 1988, it was described as guaranteeing to “drive you to drink.”

As reporter Eamonn Ó Muirí pointed out at the time however, there was only one tiny problem with the stool, it had no breaks whatsoever.
