Dubliner Dami voted most likely to win Love Island 2022

Katy Thornton

Dami and his smooth talking ways have swayed the nation.

For anyone who has been watching Love Island for the last two and a half weeks, you’ll know just how great of an islander Dami Hope is. The Dubliner, initially coupled up with Amber, and has since moved his attentions to Indiyah, has quickly become a fan favourite for his no nonsense advice and one-liners. So this ‘science’ proving he’s currently most likely to win should come as no shock to anyone.

The Science

Legacy Communications have done the heavy lifting, analysing public opinion to derive this information. As you can see, Dami comes out on top, ahead of other faves such as Davide, Paige, and even Ekin-Su. And with Indiyah coming in as the third most popular islander, and her current attraction to Dami, we may already have our Love Island winners before the third week has even ended.

According to the data, while Paige and Jacques are the current fan favourite couple, Dami and Indiyah both individually have more popularity.

Legacy based this on how relaxed vs. how stressed people are watching Dami on Love Island this year. His relaxation score sits at 172, while his stress score comes in at a low -106. Davide has a high relaxation score of 175, but his stress scores comes in at -120, placing him in second. Indiyah then comes third, with a relaxation score of 167 and a stress score of -118. Islanders in last place include Danica, Gemma, and Tasha.

To come to this conclusion Niamh Hopkins, Head of Communications at Legacy says:

To gather the data the experts analysed the social media sentiment on Twitter for each contestant, combing through thousands of tweets. Legacy then cross-referenced their figures with the number of views each contestant’s hashtag achieved on TikTok, their overall following on Twitter and other social sites, and their percentage increase in Instagram followers.”

Dami and Indiyah have also both gained the most Twitter followers of the islanders still in the villa; Dami now has 13k followers, while Indiyah has 24.8k.

Even though we can’t vote in the ROI (seriously Love Island, sort that out) we’re glad to see Dami is pulling favour regardless. Let’s hope Damiyah can go from strength to strength through Casa Amor and beyond.

Honestly, we couldn’t be prouder.
