A Brand New €1.7 Million Spa Is Opening In A Luxury Kildare Hotel Next Month

Sarah

Life is hard sometimes, ain’t it? That’s the reasoning we use anyway when it comes to justifying completely spoiling ourselves every now and again.

As L’Oreal has been telling us for as long as we can remember, we’re worth it. And there’s no better way to spoil yourself than a spa day.

One spot we’ll defo be checking out over the summer is the swanky new spa at the Osprey Hotel in Nass, Kildare.

The luxury hotel is set to unveil its brand new €1.2 million spa in early June

The spa has been designed by celebrity architect and star of RTE’s Home of the Year, Hugh Wallace of Douglas Wallace Architects.  The brief? To create an urban sanctuary using natural materials and textures in order to bring elements of nature inside and to create a space where guests could really leave the stresses of modern life at the door.

Stretching over 10,000 sq ft, the spa is set over three floors with the thermal suite offering a range of heating experiences including a dry floatation bed, double and single seaweed baths, Rasul Chamber, heated, mosaic, free standing stone loungers and a Salt Grotto.

We can feel life’s stresses melting away already.

Meanwhile, two distinctly different relaxation rooms will offer guests a wonderful space to relax either pre or post treatment.  The Light Relaxation Room features a complete wall of glazing which looks out onto a balcony and has been heavily planted in lush bamboo.

The Dark Relaxation Room on the other hand is very conducive to a post treatment snooze and has been decorated with a rich, textured wall paper and natural wood panelling around each relaxation pod.

The second floor of the spa will have six treatment rooms while the couple’s suite on the third floor is complete with a swing!

In order to continue the natural theme throughout the spa, the Irish seaweed based product, VOYA was chosen as the product for the spa

The Osprey Spa will soon offer guests a whole host of treatments and experiences including face and body treatments for both men and women – even seaweed baths and bathing rituals.

There’s a great choice of signature treatments to choose from including the ‘Osprey Revive & Harmonise (90 minutes from €120), which starts with a peppermint foot soak which is followed by a dry body brush and a signature body massage.

Gimme a fluffy robe and some hot stones ASAP. June, we can hardly wait.
