Ireland’s top festival-feel wedding venues have been revealed

For all the punk-rockers with flowers in their hair, dreaming of tying the knot in an enchanted woodland with yurts, tipis and good vibes.

With festival season well and truly upon us, Save My Day have rounded up the best wedding venues for to-be-weds in the market for a boho feel, festival-esque celebration. From a barn in the Hollywood Hills (of Wicklow) to a log cabin retreat in Leitrim, there’ll be something on this list for anyone looking to live their best festi life.

Mountain View, Kilkenny

50 to 250 guests.

A glamorous venue hidden in the hills of Kilkenny which has appeared on many a wedding venue list, and it’s easy to see why. Ideal for both intimate and larger festival-inspired wedding celebrations, with indoor and outdoor ceremony and reception spaces on its 120 acres including their Grand Marquee, The Greenhouse and outdoor terrace.

Langtons Hotel, Kilkenny

Located in the heart of Kilkenny City, Langtons houses five wedding venue options all under one roof. With the potential to cater for up to 342 guests, couples can choose to tie the knot in Langton’s state-of-the-art Set Theatre complete with stage, sweeping curtains and sound systems. There are also endless nooks and crannies to stage your perfect wedding picture, including in the attached Bridies Bar and cafe.

Poulaphouca House & Falls, Wicklow

25 to 200 guests. 

One of Ireland’s premier festival wedding venues, couples can choose from a variety of spaces for their big day including the Garden Pavillion with lush greenery and festoon lighting and The Barn with stunning lake views. Finally, dance the night away with a late night party in your own private venue, The Music Room.

Fernhill House, West Cork

100 to 300 guests.

A country house and estate which makes the perfect setting for summer, outdoor and luxurious festival-styled celebrations, with private wedding gardens for ceremonies and an idyllic garden marquee for drinks receptions.

The Barn at Hotel Doolin, Clare

60 to 300 guests. 

Hotel Doolin is home to an alternative barn wedding venue, perfect for anyone envisioning a mini-festival for their big day. They even have a wedding package named ‘Eclectic Picnic’ that includes wedfest decor, a bespoke festival food picnic, house band during meal, outdoor fire-pits, DJ and a bar extension to continue the party until after-hours.

Ballintubbert Gardens & House, Laois

Just down the road from the iconic Electric Picnic campsite, Ballintubbert is the perfect venue for laidback and luxury festival style celebrations with outdoor gardens, a beautiful marquee and boutique glamping on offer.

An oasis of calm and countryside in the heart of Dublin 14, Airfield offers a variety of both indoor and outdoor ceremony options including their Walled Garden, which has a magical sense of a festival woodland feel.

Breckenhill, Antrim

10 to 150 guests

Set amidst the hills near Ballyclare in Antrim, Breckenhill is a private wedding venue that centres around two barns – the lovingly restored 18th century Stone Barn and the larger space of the Green Barn, both of which are surrounded by woodlands, extensive gardens and a patio area.

Paddy’s Bar & Restaurant, Mayo
