An oft-called on resource during the depths of the pandemic and subsequent Outdoor Summers™.

When you’re in the midst of a cross-country drive or exploring a town you’re not familiar with, being hit with the sudden urge to pee can be scary. Will you be hit with a 25c cent toilet charge, or a door code preventing you from getting in? Will your dreams of relieving yourself be shattered by an empty toilet roll holder, or out of order sign? Will you simply not find anywhere and have to go for glory in a bush? The variables can be overwhelming.

Luckily, pee.ie is on hand, with an interactive map of public toilets across every county in Ireland. The website boasts a definitive list of public toilets throughout Ireland, largely compiled based on updates from toilet users across the country. Whether you’re on a back road in Roscommon or a playground in Portlaoise, this map will show the loo closest to you.

Users can submit or update info on an existing toilet easily through the website, and if you appreciate the service (who wouldn’t), you can buy the site admin a coffee to say thanks, and help keep the site ad free.

The website also highlights that some of the toilets are located in shops & service stations, and encourages people to support and purchase something from these businesses after using the facilities.
