Sonia O'Sullivan shares heartbreak at losing family dog after '11 fun-filled years'

Sonia O'Sullivan has shared her heartbreak at losing Snowy, the beloved family dog.

Fellow animal lovers will know this, but pets are more than just furry companions that bark when the postman arrives or leave you surprise presents at the back door.

Often the most-loved family member, they come to be a huge part of everyday life and having to say goodbye is never easy - something Sonia O'Sullivan knows all too well having lost her beloved pooch yesterday.

Confirming the sad news that Snowy the dog has passed on after "11 fun-filled years", Sonia shared a lovely tribute to her four-legged best friend. Saying that his loss has left "a big hole in their lives", it's clear that Snowy had a huge impact on them all and he'll be very sorely missed.

"No time to say goodbye to our dog Snowy on the weekend after 11 fun-filled years 77 dog years a big hole in our lives.

"Gone but all the memories live on wherever you go every corner you turn every person he friended along the way come flooding back @bc1andbc2 our lives are all the richer for #snowydog #snowtrooper #snowster being there

"Rarely missed a walk you could set the clock when snowy was ready to go morning and night whatever the weather Snowy was there at the door ready to go."
