There’s a class artisan flea market happening online today

Sarah Finnan

Easy like a Sunday morning flea market.

There’s a virtual flea market happening today and it’s just the ticket if you’ve been missing your weekend tradition of thrifting. Run by Alternative Dublin, Good Vibrationz, Art Collective and Drink & Draw, the flea market hopes to give small artisan creators a platform through which they can exhibit and sell their work.

It’s no secret that buying local is of the utmost importance at the moment, with that also extending to the creative community who have been busy honing their crafts while in lockdown.

Putting a call out for traders a couple of days ago, Drink & Draw revealed that they’re looking for: jewellery designers, artists, fashion flea collectors, craftspeople, upcycling, creative service people (whatever that encompasses) and traders with something different.

Organisers have kept us guessing as to who will be showcasing their work, but judging by the painting below – it’s going to be a treasure trove of colourful artwork and other quirky bits and pieces.

Held across Facebook, Instagram and Meetup, simply click onto any of their social media platforms and have a nose through what’s on offer.
