Contrary to what social media tells us, there’s no such thing as a perfect couple. Every relationship has got its issues and the causes of them are wide and varied.
A new study by dating site eHarmony has revealed the biggest causes for problems in relationships and if you’ve been shacked up with a special someone for any amount of time, you’re bound to recognise at least one.
For the report called ‘Happiness Index: The State Of Relationships In America’, the website asked more than 2,300 people Stateside about their relationships and Irish couples are sure to relate.
Coming in at number one in things that have a negative impact on a relationship is stress from work with 35% of people naming this as a factor followed by someone being too tired for sex (33%), having low libido or sex drive (28%) and arguments about money (27%).

The report also found what the ‘self-described perfectly happy couple’ look like with open communication, being around the same age, and holding hands when out together featuring.
