There’s nothing more depressing than seeing a Christmas tree post festivities, looking brittle and dry, and on its way to the bin. It seems like such a shame that they get a month or two and then they’re done and thrown out. Well, at Cork Christmas Tree Rental, they believe in saving these trees. Now instead of buying your tree, you can rent it, and yes, we are talking about real Christmas trees.

Much like Phoebe in FRIENDS, Cork Christmas Tree Rental is looking to ensure every tree reaches their Christmas tree destiny. Instead of ending up in the shredder, this Cork spot asks that you only rent your tree in a pot, and that you return it on January 2nd to be cared for. Next year you could feasibly rent the exact same tree again, which is very cool.
You can order 3ft or 5ft Christmas trees, whatever suits your home more. The cost will include a refundable €15 deposit for 3ft trees, and a €25 deposit for 5ft trees. Cork Christmas Trees rent out trees of the Norway Spruce variety and each one comes with a saucer of water. You can rent from the 8th December and return the tree on the 2nd January. They deliver around Cork city, but other areas can call and organise to collect their rented tree if they wish.
