Let's be real.
After a heavy night on the sauce, most of us end up lying on the couch for the day, cringing with fear of what you may or may not have done the night before, and watching movies while tucking into a delish takeaway.
The last thing we would EVER want to do when hungover is to head to the gym. No way.
But for any crazy individuals out there who are blessed enough to actually be able to go to the gym and sweat out the alcohol, you may want to listen up...
The Huffington Post talked to the experts to find out whether or not it's a good idea to work out when you're hungover, and it turns out that it might be best to swap the treadmill for the sofa.
Mark Leyshon from Alcohol Concern said that after drinking, our performance will be "underwhelming".
He said: "Alcohol makes our kidneys produce more urine, causing dehydration which will only be made worse by exercising, leading to reduced performance.
Not only will alcohol reduce how well you perform at the gym, it's actually pretty dangerous.
Dr. Sarah Jarvis, Drinkaware’s medical advisor, said drinking alcohol can "increase the potential for unusual heart rhythms".
She added: "This is a risk which significantly increases during exercise up to two days after heavy alcohol consumption."
"This is because the activity itself already increases your heart rate and with a lot of alcohol in your system, you put extra stress on the organ."
But what about the whole notion of 'sweating out' the alcohol? Apparently that's just a myth.
Dr. Jarvis said: "No amount of exercise can reduce the effects of a hangover, so it’s better to rest and drink plenty of water rather than engaging in vigorous activity."
It's safe to say we won't be venturing to the gym this weekend...
