This sign at Rosses Point absolutely roasts litterers

Take this as your literal sign to just not litter, please.

This takes those "it's not cool to litter" ads to a whole new level. We all know littering is bad and unnecessary, and yet most public places are still subjected to a lot of littering. Well, Rosses Point in Sligo has had enough of litterers, putting up this savage (and frankly iconic) sign to remind you to think twice before dropping your rubbish.

Twitter user Darren Purcell (@BoyleDarp) put the sign up on Twitter, with an admiring, 'Well played, Rosses Point' and we can't help but agree.

The sign poses the simple question of, 'Why are you littering?' It goes on to provide a few of the possible reasons, including 'I'm stupid', 'I don't care about Rosses Point', 'Mammy still cleans up after me' and a helpful fourth option of, 'All of the above'. Now any potential litterers will come to understand something about themselves, something that they potentially aren't too proud of.

We can only but agree with Darren Purcell's statement and say a big, 'Well played, Rosses Point'.
