As well as this, they have what they call a ‘dad bod’ and are the six fattest in the world according to researchers. 

America come out on top as home to the world’s chubbiest men while British men came in as the largest in Europe, weighing 13st 3lb and coming in at 5ft 10 ins.

Irish, on the other hand, are around 5ft 9.5in and weigh 12 stone 10lbs.

Also, the average Body Mass Index of Irish males is 25.9, putting them in the overweight category.

A healthy weight for someone of this height is between 9 stone and 12 st 4lbs.  Irish men are also expected to live until they are between 79-80years-old.

Speaking to The Irish Sun, Forza Supplements managing director Lee Smith said: “These figures clearly show how obesity levels are going up all the time and this is impacting on male life expectancy.

“We are clearly heading the same way as America where the average man now weighs 14st for the first time in its history.

“Despite being one of the world’s richest nations, life expectancy in the States is lower than in many countries and the obesity epidemic is a big factor.
