It has a music venue that's even better than Whelan's or the Roisin Dubh called Connolly's Of Leap and it's the ultimate remote spot to get away from it all.

This morning, we visited quiet Sunnycove near Kinsale. We were on a beach on the mainland where some swimmers train, but others come to forage for seaweed. My mom’s favourite was the serrated wrack, which has an age-defying natural sunscreen sealed in its pods! My dad took an interest in the red pepper dulce, as it’s a popular item for chefs nowadays! Ireland has 600-700 kinds of wild seaweed and I strangely want to try them all. The funniest thing is that we were right next to an island covered in goats, but no one knew how the goats got there. Oh, and we met sweet little Alfie who came up to say hi despite being drenched in sea water and romped around in the freezing water with his owner and his smaller friend - he made the crummy weather a little better! @kinsalefoodtours/Suzanne - Thank you for all the knowledge, food, and showing us around! Everyone we met was lovely and I hope you’re doing well!

Three words: Alpacas and Prosecco.

Waterford - Lismore

Situated on the beautiful River Blackwater, you owe it to yourself to head to Lismore Castle to feel like royalty.

Fermanagh - Enniskillen

Sligo - Cloonagh

Introducing the Caves of Keash:

This walk and view will make you see Ireland in a different light entirely.

Leitrim - Glencar

We told you yearsssssss ago that this place was the most underrated county in Ireland. But, you didn't listen to us? Did you.

Glencar Waterfall and its lesser known sister, The Devil's Chimney Waterfall are both within a 5 minute radius.

Roscommon - Boyle

As everyone knows, there's "no soil like Boyle soil." If you thought this place didn't have anything as majestic as Chris O'Dowd, set your oven to gas mark "egg on your face."

Kerry - Dingle

We couldn't look pass this obvious inclusion, it's just too good. The Slea Head Drive is a must.

Stop at Conor's Pass where the small waterfall is and start climbing, at the top you'll come across the most beautiful lake that this world has to offer - Peddlers Lake

Meath - Rathkenny

Within touching distance of Slane, the lesser known village is home to the most beautiful wedding venue in Ireland.

My sister got married here in 2017 and we honestly felt like millionaires for the couple of days we were there.

Cavan - Coras Point

Because you need to have a spa weekend away at Farnham Estate. I highly recommend the 'Inner Calm Massage'.

The view from their outside heated pool isn't bad either...

Antrim – Islandmagee

We picked this one solely because of the once in a lifetime ‘The Gobbins’ walk… (and partly because we’re children and laughed at the name)

Carlow – Tullow

A walk through the Delta Sensory Gardens in Strawhall is one of the most relaxing and romantic things you can do in this country.

It's just a 20-minute spin from Mount Wolseley Hotel which is an amazing hotel. The Rathgall Hillfort is worth a shout too.

Monaghan - Castleblayney

Home to the King of Country And Western, Big Tom, this place is rich with history.

A trip to Connolly's pub is a must after you hit up Lough Muckno Leisure Park.

Armagh - Newry

You probably don't know but Newry is home to the outstanding and unique Ring of Gullion.

This was the first ring dyke in the world to be recorded on a map. The Slieve Gullion mountain was a fond favourite of Cúchulainn too.

If it's good enough for him.

Kildare - Leixlip

Pack your doggo because there's a castle here that's dog-friendly and is the ultimate getaway for you, me and marley.

Kilkenny - Dunmore

There's so much to do in this tiny village.

Visit the castle, jump into the River Nore from the Pier at The Weir on Bleach Road like the locals do. Make sure to have a night out in 'Left Bank' too, town is just ten minutes away.

Laois - Ballyfin

It's worth coming here alone just to stay in the second best hotel in the whole world.

Your backdrop will be the Slieve Bloom Mountains too, just in case you're not satisfied already.

Longford - Ballymahon

Who needs a summer holiday when you have a 'Subtropical Swimming Paradise' Resort on your doorstep?

Ballymahon is set to become the new Santa Ponsa.

Down - Bangor

Grey Point Fort is steeped in history and hopping over to Belfast from here is so easy too.

We recommend going to Pickie Funpark too.

Dublin - Skerries

This beautiful seaside town makes you feel like you're in another county entirely, a 33rd county of Ireland.

A pint of Guinness in Nealon's and some grub in Stoop Your Head is a must.

Here's 9 other reasons why you should take a day trip to Skerries.

Offaly - Roscrea

Soon you'll be able to fly into Offaly Airport - Yeah, this is happening.

But until then, you'll have to be content with motoring down to The Faithful County.

If you're an adrenaline junkie, the Bike Park should be on your list.

It's a long way to Tipperary but we're already on the way after hearing this news.

Tyrone - Ballygawley

Todds Leap Activity Centre is the perfect place for anyone who likes outdoor activities. It's also not too far from the bright lights of Omagh.

Westmeath - Mullingar

This pips Athlone to the post solely because it's home to Niall Horan and these volcanoes, yeah you read this right, volcanoes.

The Old Rail Trail and walks along Lough Ennell and Lough Sheever will easily set your imagination running.
