The coming of age tale follows Jamie New, a sixteen year old facing discrimination and bullying for his sexuality in his hometown of Sheffield. Despite this, he has big dreams and knows his place is on the stage. With the help of his loving mum and supportive friends, he steps out of the darkness and into the spotlight. It’s heartwarming, it’s uplifting, and it’s gas in all the right places.

It’s the perfect watch for anyone looking for a wee cry, uplifting moments, and a catalogue of catchy tunes. It also features our own Sharon Horgan (This Way Up, Catastrophe) as Jamie’s careers teacher so, you know, do it for the Irish.
