Lewis Capaldi has revealed who his hit song Someone You Loved is really about and as it turns out, it’s not about Love Island’s Paige Turley.
Love Island fans will insist that Paige has come a long way from when she came into the villa with a claim to fame of being an ex-girlfriend of Lewis Capaldi’s.
It seemed that Paige couldn’t wait to let her fellow islanders know that she had been involved romantically with Lewis and in her introduction to viewers, she suggested that she might have been the muse for Someone You Loved.
But while Lewis has wished Paige well on the reality dating show (she is currently favourite to win), he has rejected claims that his biggest song is about her.
During a recent interview with Australian music channel, VMusic, Lewis revealed who the song is actually about.

“The song is not about a lady who I was in a romantic relationship with. It’s about my grandmother, who’s dead,” Lewis said in his inimitable style.
“She died a few years ago. Your classic death, you know what I mean? Not coming back sort of thing.”
Lewis has since laughed at his phrasing in the interview, having said “as fortune had it, my gran had just died.”
‘As fortune had it my gran had just died’ is the weirdest thing I’ve ever said in an interview https://t.co/G64YkOIFoj
